Created in 1967 by Claude Nobs, The Montreux Jazz Festival has become over the years an essential event, generating fantastic stories and legendary performances. It has been marked by artists such as Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, Prince, David Bowie, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones, and continues to bring international artists and budding talents on the shores of Lake Geneva.
